Conservation Project Manager- Beqa
This is a unique opportunity to independently manage and develop Frontier’s overseas projects in the field with supervision from the London Headquarters.
In Fiji these projects include teaching, sports coaching, healthcare and marine and diving projects.
The marine projects survey and monitor megafauna, such as sea turtles, sharks and rays, which all play a key role in the Fijian marine ecosystem.
These surveys investigate subjects such as coral health, mangrove conservation and restoration and this data is then analysed for publication in scientific reports.
The teaching projects go beyond English lessons to that of maths, sciences and arts and crafts, while the sports coaching encompasses all activities, with the main sports being rugby and football.
The sports coaching is also a great step for the teaching of health nutrition and fitness for the school children.
The Project Manager will have overall administrative control of the field projects including volunteer communications; financial management; equipment resupply and maintenance; regular reporting back to headquarters; aiding in volunteer and staff recruitment; management of local relations, networks and contacts; fundraising for the project and the supervision of local staff.
