One of Europe’s oldest nations, Portugal is a spectacular country featuring hill top forts, dramatic walled towns and pristine beaches. The diversity and friendliness of the people, alongside the rustic flavours of traditional dishes and the delicious and affordable wine, make Portugal a must see destination.
Whilst visiting this incredible country why not contribute to a genuinely important cause, whilst educating yourself and others.
It is estimated that between one third and one half of all the food produced globally is wasted. Amongst all the actions that have been adopted, the most popular and efficient one seems to be raising awareness within the community, encouraging behavioural change to reduce food waste.
By joining this rewarding project, you will contribute in delivering food and helping over 3000 people every day. It is a great opportunity to address an issue that is not only restricted to Portugal but is increasingly being discussed and tackled globally. Through this meaningful work you will have the opportunity to be integrated into a team of volunteers from all over the world tackling food waste.
