When Frontier opened its doors for work shadowing, we saw students coming from across the country and sacrificing their half terms for a day's experience at an NGO.
Harry Andrews, in Year 13 at Chesham Grammar School, came onboard with the Frontier Marketing Department for the day with a particular interest in Online Journalism. We asked him to tell us about his time here...
What job would you like to do in the future?
I’m not sure, but I’m interested in NGO work and working abroad, specifically in South America.
What areas of conservation and the environment are you most interested in?
I'm interested in how development can be made sustainable in both lower and higher income countries.
What work have you been up to during your work-shadowing placement?
Scheduled a social media post, created a powerpoint on how the footwear industry is changing with regard to environmental sustainability and wrote an article for the website.
Do you think your experience in our London Headquarters has interested you to pursue a career in your desired field?
Yes, it provided insight into the working environment of an NGO and helped me understand what a marketing department does on a day to day basis.
How did you find your day with Frontier?
It was great, everyone was really helpful and accommodating, and the positive working atmosphere made the experience very enjoyable while providing important knowledge at the same time.
Would you recommend a work-shadowing placement?
You can read Harry's blog here.
