Frontier runs regular work shadowing days based at our London HQ. Work shadowing days offer the chance for 16-18 year old students to come to our London HQ and shadow a member of our team. The departments they can work in are:
This provides a great opportunity for students with an interest in environmental conservation, international development, journalism or volunteer travel to get a taste for what a career working for an NGO in this industry would be like.
On our most recent work shadowing day we were delighted to welcome five students to our offices, working with our staff in journalism, events, research & development and operations. Patricia Fung, who shadowed staff in our journalism department, created this article which has now been published on our award-winning blog.
Applications for our October 2017 work shadowing days are now closed. The next days will be in the Easter half term, 2018. Please check back in March 2018 for specific details.
To apply for one of these days, please download and complete this application form and email it to the address specified in the form.
In the meantime, why not check out Yasmina O'Sullivan's blog about her experience on Frontier's work shadowing day?
"Overall, the day was a great success. I was able to experience a unique office environment which although based in central London, was able to communicate and coordinate on an international scale. I learned a great deal not only about the organisation but also about the general world of work. Finally, I am very grateful for the wonderful opportunity this gave me. An internship with Frontier is definitely now being considered in my future plans." - Yasmina O'Sullivan, Work Shadowing Day Participant
