International Volunteering

International volunteering has become progressively more important in recent years due to worsening environmental conditions around the world. Issues such as deforestation, wildlife poaching and pollution require global efforts in conservation, whilst education and community development programs aim to empower local communities. Frontier aims at bringing together people from different ages, backgrounds and countries who want to volunteer internationally and dedicate themselves to causes across the world.

What kind of international volunteering can I take part in?

International volunteering projects with Frontier offer opportunities in marine and wildlife conservation, ethical adventure travelling, professional internships and teaching. The destinations vary according to one’s preferences and Frontier has formed partnerships in over 60 countries and offers more than 450 projects abroad. Each volunteer chooses the destination and the duration of their project and will stay in a volunteer house, homestay or field camp with other participants and benefit from a communal learning environment. Whilst volunteering internationally you can also take advantage of some of the qualifications which Frontier offers – such as PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water dive training or a TEFL certificate for teaching English as a second language. This is a wonderful way to boost your CV and launch a future career, as well to meet likeminded people and work on your own personal development.

Why volunteer internationally with Frontier?

The application process is simple and involves just a few steps including a short application form and an interview with one of Frontier’s travel consultants. International volunteering is easier than most people imagine as Frontier provides pre-departure support, travel and medical advice and a training weekend before the start date. We also offer flexible start dates with departures almost every Monday. One of the biggest advantages to participating in one of our programs, however, is becoming part of a community of international volunteers. You’ll experience a world beyond borders, learn about different cultures, ideas and interests and be exposed to exciting opportunities to travel and do good.
