Gap Year Travel

While gap year travelling has been popular for a number of years, more recently people have been combining their gap year travel with placements. Frontier offers the opportunity to do one or the other, or even both. For those that want to travel and explore the world, Frontier offers a number of eco-tours and trails, some of the most popular being through South-East Asia and Central America. For those that want to go on a placement as part of their gap year travelling, Frontier offers wildlife conservation (both land based and diving), teaching abroad and medical placements. And for those that want to experience both, Frontier also offers projects that combine placements and travelling.

Why Travel with Frontier on your Gap Year?

Frontier operates in over 50 countries in the world, so wherever your gap year travel plans take you, you will be sure to find a Frontier project in the area. You could be anywhere from the crystal clear waters of Belize, to the dense jungle forest of Costa Rica and all the way to the Fiji. You could even stop off on your way through Europe to help with some sea turtle conservation in Greece or learn Italian while soaking up the country's food and culture. Travelling is a great way to experience many different foods and many placements will provide 2 or 3 meals a day, so you don’t have to worry about food as you may on some parts of your gap year travel.

Frontier's Gap Year Travel Projects

Frontier placements start anywhere from 1 week and can go up to 6 months so you will definitely be able to fit a project in as part of your gap year travel. Many of the longer placements will provide you with a certificate to show what you have achieved. An additional bonus is that a Frontier placement would also look great on your CV when you start to apply for jobs after your gap year travels!
