Corcovado Nature Reserve Tour
The Corcovado National Park is located in the heart of Costa Rica's Osa Penisula and, for anyone interested in widllife, is an essential place to visit. National Geographic has described the park as “the most biologically intense place on Earth in terms of biodiversity" and entry is only available for those who are travelling with a guide.
Frontier's research camp is based just on the border of the reserve, and our volunteers and staff members undertake surveys to support a range of ongoing conservation initatives. You can take part in the project from as little as one week or as long as a few months.
Frontier is now offering a free Corcovado tour with a professional guide and a small group. Trekking out into the reserve you are likely to see a huge array of wildlife. Some of the commonly spotted animals include big cats such as ocelots, margays and pumas, monkeys including howler monkeys and capuchins, and dozens of species of butterflies and amphibians.
We are offering this tour free to anyone taking part for two weeks or more on our Costa Rica Big Cats or Climate Change projects. To claim your tour, make an online application here, and when you are called back by our advisor simply let them know that you would like to include the Corcovado tour.
*Subject to availability and minimum numbers.
*All Frontier offers are subject to acceptance and are not always usable in conjunction with other offers.
